Here comes a short description on how I installed Linux on an IBM Thinkpad 380D. |
Installation
First I installed Red Hat Linux v6.2 (kernel 2.2.14-5.0) on an IBM Thinkpad 380D. To do this
I had to make a boot diskette first because this Thinkpad does not support booting from
CD-ROM. The whole installation went just fine right out of the box. Some info and
adjustments are described on the following pages. But after that I installed
RedHat v7.2 with the erratas pr. 2002.03.01 (that is kernel 2.4.9-31).
